Tips and ideas for teachers and parents for Earth Day

...a blog series by EcoSmart Products for the love of planet you-know-who
In celebration of Earth Day coming up on April 22, 2012, EcoSmart Products has developed a blog series of tips and ideas for fun and meaningful activities in honor of planet Earth! We'll share our activities and resources from now until Earth Day to help you go green at home, school or work. Have any great ideas to share? Drop us a line below!

Idea #1: Create a Wordle

Using the free word cloud program at http://www.wordle.net/create, have your students or kids develop a visual presentation about what is important to them about Earth Day. The final results can be pinned together on a board for a mega word cloud!

...Or create a Glog!

If you've done Wordles before, or if your students or kids are a little more advanced in their computer skills, consider creating a Glog. Glogs are interactive posters with images, texts, links or videos created through the free program at www.glogster.com. There is even an educator's package for classroom use of Glogster. This just might be your hippest Earth Day activity yet! Credit for this Glog can be found here, at Glogster.com.   Click to tweet this post!
